After starting in 2003 in Turnchapel and then moving to Richmond Walk in 2014, we are a small but driven community rowing club run by volunteers that promotes an active and social lifestyle and is open to all abilities whilst competitively representing the city of Plymouth at a local, national and international level.
As a club, Mayflower have hosted the 2009 World Coastal Rowing Championships, as well as competing in the 2016, 2017 and 2022 events. In terms of the British Championships, we have gained first place in the women's Single Skull two years in a row, Women's quad, and also silver and bronze medals in the Men's quads, with the same crew ranking 18th in the world from the 2022 championships. Furthermore, we are a part of the Coastal League, and are currently the champions after success in our 2022 races. Despite our extensive triumphs in the world of coastal rowing, the future of the club is under threat by developers in an ever-growing Plymouth, it is hoped that any funds raised will help provide some security for the future. We are also a British Rowing registered club. We are a registered charity : 1156653
